Tricia began metalsmithing classes 32 years ago and started stringing 26 years ago. Tricia started her homebased business in 2003, teaching through Calvert County and St. Mary's County Parks and Rec programs. Since that time she has emerged herself in classes from master jewelers around the country. Tricia has had her jewelry in several art galleries in Calvert and St. Mary's counties as well as Artsfest.

Angela Plager
Angela was born and raised in Iowa and attended Iowa State University where she received her BFA in Art and Design. While in college she met her husband-to-be and later became a Navy spouse. Navy life has led
them to live in 8 states and Japan. A love of travel and nature have led to numerous explorations of the diverse flora and fauna around the world while experiencing several different cultures. Living in Japan led her to a greater appreciation of fine handcrafts. Exploring the temples, shrines, castles, and museums showed her a much wider range of sources of inspiration to use with her many artistic pursuits. In Hawaii, the native art of pearl and shell jewelry inspired her to add beads and other decorations to her fiber crafts. Moving to New England, Angela experienced the Old World craftsmanship associated with fine artisan jewelry. Angela started beading in the fall of 2003 and fell in love with the colors, textures, and details that she can achieve with beads. The focus of her work to date has been purses, necklaces and bracelets utilizing a variety of techniques. The challenge of figuring
how to execute her creative ideas in three dimensional beadwork using crystals, seed beads, lampwork beads, pearls, shells and hand made cording keeps her excited about beading. Exhibits & Publications!

Barbara Hance
Barbara is a local artist who has been teaching and designing handcrafted jewelry in metal clay since 2004. She has received her level 3 certification in PMC (Precious Metal Clay) and is a Sr. Certified Instructor for Art Clay World (Art Clay Silver). Her work has been featured in craft and guild magazine articles, galleries and exhibits as well as on her website, www.BarbaraHance.com.

Tammy Vance
Tammy started stringing beaded jewelry 8 years ago, and has developed her talents in jewelry making to include bead stitching, glass fusing, wire working, and several metal smithing techniques. She participates in many craft shows and festivals throughout Calvert County, and teaches classes in multiple genres of jewelry making.

Ann Newton
Ann is a local artist who's expertise is working with Dichroic glass fusing. She has many years experience with beading, and stained glass art. Ann recieved the award for "Best Booth" at 2010's Patuxent River Appreciation Days Festival.

Liz Printz
"I have been creating jewelry since childhood. I'm fortunate to have been raised in West Africa where I spent much of my time exploring the markets and souks of exotic places like Marrakesh, Dakar, Niamey, and Kinshasa. I've collected beads and artifacts, amazing art and textiles, and feel privileged to have been inspired and instructed by native artisans in the countries in which I've lived. I hope their influence is evident in my work. I love to create original wearable art jewelry that incorporates self made components, locally found and indigenous or unusual objects. I strive to design original jewelry that's not only interesting, but also beautiful and ultimately very wearable."

"For the most part, I'm a self taught bead work and polymer clay artist.
I've been beading for over 40 years, and using polymer clay since the mid eighties. The formal art instruction I've received has been in fiber art and metal work. I started Liz Printz Jewelry in 1983.
I've been teaching classes since 1990, in bead work/ misc.art/ jewelry design/ polymer clay techniques at bead and craft stores, conferences, bead societies, guilds, MAFA, as well as Maryland public schools."
