Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
(2 evenings 3 hours for total of 6 class hours)

Design you own fine silver jewelry from precious metal clay. PMC is made of tiny particles of silver suspended in an organic binder and water. When fired in a kiln, or with a butane torch, the binder burns off leaving an item that is pure silver (.999 fine silver). Learn how easy it is to mold, shape, and texture this clay into your own one-of-a-kind earrings and pendant.
Supplies: 1 package PMC Clay 16 grams, 1 Tool Kit, 1 pair sterling ear wires, stones and beads of your choice. 1 CZ (to set in pendant). 1 foot 20 ga SS round ½ hard wire.

Squiggle Cuff Bracelet (3 hrs.)

Fee: $15 plus a large focal bead
Level: Beginner to Advanced
This beginners class is a great way to introduce yourself to wire wrapping! Experienced wire wrappers will love the beautiful simplicity of this bracelet. The design is basic, your choice of the focal bead and how you choose to make your wraps will make this bracelet uniquely yours.
Supplies: 6 inches of 1 MM X 3MM Sterling Silver Rod
12 Inches of 16 gauge dead soft sterling silver wire
Focal Bead to fit you wire
12 inches of copper wire to practice and work out designs.

Crystal Stockings (3 hours)

Using 3-6 mm crystals make stockings that you can turn into earrings, a pendant or an ornament.

Swarovski Crystal Heart Pendant with Barbara

Flat Band Rings (3 hours)
(arrange final finishing during shop hours)
Learn how to size rings in PMC 3. Texture your band and add a CZ to the top of your ring. Instruction will include how to make and join a flat band ring. Previous experience with PMC necessary.
Ring sizes are not guaranteed as clay shrinks 8-10% in firing. However, we will be using ring mandrels to limit shrinking in the kiln to your specific ring size (this has produced pretty accurate results). We also have a choice of 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand as possible destinations for our new rings!
Supplies: 1 Package PMC 3-16 grams, CZ for ring top

Drop Crystal Necklace (3 hrs.)
Choose your crystal color and make this beautiful cascade of crystals necklace. Depending upon your choice of colors, this necklace can add the right touch of elegance or a splash of bling to your more casual outfits.
Supplies: Seven 6X9 Swarovski faceted drop crystals.
Nine feet copper stringing wire size .018 (19 or 49 strand drapes the best)
Packet 1x2 copper crimp beads. (2X2 crimps can also be used )
4 One inch copper tube beads
1 foot copper wire (for necklace loops) 20 gauge ½ hard to dead soft.
1 Copper necklace clasp (toggle or hook)
4 Copper Jump rings used to attach clasp to loops.

Domed Reversible Pendant (3 hours)
(arrange final finishing during shop hours)
You will texture, form and assemble a light weight domed pendant. Using a different texture on each side will allow you to reverse your pendant according to your outfit or mood. Two pendants for the price of one! Knowledge of PMC necessary.
Supplies: 1 Package 24 grams PMC 3 4. Round magnetic end neck wires (ends must be small enough to pass through pendant openings).

Dichroic Cabachons Set in PMC 3 (3 hours)
(arrange final finishing during shop hours)
Choose one of our new beautiful Dichroic cabachons (any size and shape). Learn how to make a silver bezel from PMC. Texture or shine the background to a mirror finish or wrap your cab with a simple rope bezel.
Both techniques will be demonstrated in class. One pendant will be made in class using your choice of the above techniques. Previous experience with PMC is necessary.

Criss Cross 2 Tone Bangle (3 Hrs)
Twisted gold square wire is criss crossed over sterling silver wire to create this beautiful two toned bracelet. Wire wraps are created in gold to complete the gold and silver design. Basic wire working knowledge is helpful..not necessary.
Supplies: Enough Supplies to make a large 8" bracelet

Cones, Toggles, and Clasps

Toggles, Cones, and Clasps: (4 hours instruction-arrange final finishing during shop hours). Add another dimension to your jewelry making. Design your own toggles, cones, and clasps for your beautiful bracelet and necklace creations.

Previous PMC experience necessary.

Byzantine Bracelet (3 hrs)
One of the most popular and versatile of the chain maille weaves. Once you master this weave you can change the size of the jump rings to make a fine neck chain to hold a beautiful focal bead,, add beads to a bracelet or allow the chain to sparkle beautifully alone.
Supplies: 182-218 Sterling Silver 18g 3.5 mm ID Jump Rings (wrist size determines jump ring count). One Sterling Silver toggle, or lobster claw clasp.

Braided Bead Bangle:(3 hrs)
This braided wire bead bangle class will teach students how to make wraps with ½ round wire and incorporate a hook and eye clasp. Previous wire wrapping experience is recommended but not required. Multi colored beads makes this bracelet fun to wear with many items in your wardrobe!
Supplies: (36 inches) 20 gauge round half-hard or dead-soft wire.
(6 inches) 20 gauge half-round half-hard wire
(25) 6mm round beads or crystals

Five Bead Bangle Bracelet (3 hrs)
5 sparking 8 MM Swarvoski crystals or 8 MM round beads of your choice, combined with twisted silver wire makes a stunning bracelet. Advance your wire working skills by learning to twist square wire and wrap it to create a focal point of beads on a solid bangle bracelet. Previous wire working experience is necessary as students must know how to wrap a bundle and twist square wire.
Supplies: 18 inches 20 gauge half-hard wire
24 inches 20 gauge square dead-soft wire
9 inches 20 gauge round half-hard wire
24 inches 20 gauge half-round half-hard wire
Five 8MM round or faceted round beads (beads must fit onto 20 gauge wire).

Setting non-fireable stones and Pearls in PMC
(2 evenings first class is 3 hours-second eve.
2 hours to place pearl and stone and complete finishing.
In this class we will be using pre made fine silver stone mounts and fine silver wire to set a pearl and a faceted stone after firing. The pendant will be a heart outline shape...one side of the heart will be textured like bark. Instruction will include how to create a mirror finish on the other half of the heart outline. Previous metal clay experience is necessary.

PMC Hollow Bead Forms (Advanced)
(2 evenings 3 hours for total of 6 class hours)
During this advanced class for metal clay you will learn how to make an armature for hollow beads from cork clay, cover with silver clay, then embellish your beads with paper clay appliques. Learn syringe techniques by creating a pair of “free form” lacy earrings. Three forms of clay will be used to make a pendant and earrings. Previous basic metal clay experience is necessary as the class moves quickly through the projects. Please bring your tool kit from the Introduction class.

Parallel Chain Neckdrape (3 hrs)
This neckdrape was created to compliment the parallel chain bracelet. The gold and silver “V” attaches beautifully to a leather neck cord. Students will learn how to make a loop at the end of leather cords and attach the loops to a clasp.

Make Your Own Molds
(3 hrs instruction-arrange final finishing during shop hours)
Do you have an antique button, sea shell or any found object (organic or otherwise) you wish to recreate in metal clay? Perhaps, to make a pendant, charm bracelet, a pair of earrings, or use as a design to top a ring band? Bring them to class and learn how to make your own molds from polymer clay and 2 part silicone molding compound. The class will also cover how to use jewelry and candy commercial molds to create your designs. Previous experience in PMC is necessary.
Supplies: 16 grams Packet Metal Clay (PMC 3)

Geometric Bangle (3 hrs)
Advanced wire working class (previous wire working experience suggested). This class will teach students how to combine twisted wire, square wire, round and rectangle beads to make a beautiful bangle bracelet.
Supplies: (20 in.) 20 gauge square wire half hard.
(18 in) 20 gauge square wire dead soft.
(9 in) 20 gauge round wire half hard.
(30in.) 20 gauge half-round wire half hard.
Rectangular beads 4x4x13 mm
(14) 3 mm round beads.

Full Persian 6 in 1 Chain Maille Bracelet (3 hrs)
This is a beautiful, slinky, weave that creates a round chain, allowing light to sparkle all through it. Previous chain maille experience is preferred but not necessary. Must have knowledge of opening and closing jump rings.
Supplies:150-180 18 gauge 5.5 mm ID Jump Rings. Single-strand clasp. Lobster Claw or Toggle.
